Every baby needs comfy pajamas for bedtime and nap time. This Simply Sweet Sleeper PDF Pattern closes in the front with
hook and loop tape or snaps. Add variations by changing ribbing colors and/or sleeve print. The little knit cap will be perfect for the newborn baby. The Simply Sweet Sleeper can be made in less than 2 hours!
This pattern now includes pieces for knit fabrics and woven fabrics. View 1 is made using knit fabrics. View 2 uses woven fabrics such as flannels and quilting cottons. View 3 is a combo pattern using woven fabric for the body and ribbing for the collar, sleeve hem, and cap band.
Recommended Fabrics: View 1 is designed for light weight to mid weight stretch knit fabric. It will not work with a woven fabric. View 2 pattern pieces are for light to mid-weight woven fabrics such as cottons, and flannels. View 3 is a combination, using a flannel for the main fabric and ribbing for the neck, sleeve cuffs and cap band.
Supplies Needed:
- Fabric - ½ yard View 1 and View 3
- ⅝ yard View 2
-Ribbing View 1 and View 2 (Optional for neck, sleeves, and cap band.) - 18” by 2”
(You can use the stretch knit if 4” will stretch to 7”. To check this, fold the fabric in half and test at the fold. Don’t test on a cut edge.)
-9” of ¼” wide elastic for View 1 & View 3. A little extra elastic will make it easier
-18” of ¼” wide elastic for View 2. A little extra elastic will make it easier
-9” of ½” wide elastic for cap band View 2. A little extra elastic will make it easier
- 6” of ¼” wide hook and loop tape, or 3 snaps
-Lightweight interfacing – 12” by 3/4”
