The 1980s Mix and Match pattern by Forever 18 Inches is designed to allow multiple options by combining variations and accessories. The pattern features three separate garments: a detailed skirt with a geometric yoke, working pockets, belt loops, and an elasticized back for a universal fit, a simplified skirt with a yoke and elasticized back, and a loose-fitting top with rolled sleeve cuffs. Both skirts have options for Mini and Midi lengths, and the top can be made with or without the cuffs from knit or woven fabrics. A bonus Obi-style wrap belt is also included to add authentic 1980s detail to the outfits made from this pattern. The top, belt, and simplified skirt are all designed at an Easy sewing level, which makes them good candidates for Etsy and craft fair sellers. Whether you’re sewing for a valley girl or working girl, this pattern will provide authentic 1980s style. (And don’t forget to add Big Hair and slouchy-styled boots!)
This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 18" dolls such as American Girl®.
