Recommended Fabrics: Body: All Options: Lightweight denim (6oz or less), chambray, quilting cotton, very lightweight twill, very baby fine wale corduroy. The fabric should be the same thickness of a quality quilting cotton. Avoid fabric with stretch. Border Skirt Option: Lightweight border prints such as eyelet lace. Lightweight broadcloth or batiste is suggested for the lining. Tulle Option: 6” rolls of light weight tulle are perfect. Lightweight broadcloth or batiste is suggested for the lining
Supplies Needed:
- ⅓ yard light weight denim, twill or quilting cotton
- 8” x 12” sheer weight fusible interfacing
- 7” x ⅜” elastic
- 6” x 4 ½ yards of tulle (tutu option only)
- 28” of border print fabric or 5-6” wide trim with a finished side
- Pair of 1:6 (⅝”) scale doll-sized overall buckles with buttons or
- 2 sets of snaps or
- 4 - ⅜” jump rings or
- 2 - ¼” buttons and 2 set of snaps
- 2 - ¼” buttons - for sides (optional)
- Set of snaps - for sides
- Steam-a-Seam® or ¼” quilters tape (optional)
- Matching thread
