Inspired by everyone’s favorite teen idol, this fun dress is not only beautiful, it’s designed simply too. The easy instructions walk you through the process from start to finish.
Design details include:
Both View A & B - Sweetheart neckline, lined bodice, back hook and loop closure.
View A features a pieced bubble skirt, creating a fun mix of coordinating fabrics. The bubble skirt is tucked and scrunched up for added interest. The skirt is designed to be pieced together in 3-4 coordinating fabrics.
View B features a simplified design, a one-piece gathered skirt. Simple to sew, but oh so pretty!
The dress is designed to be worn over a t-shirt, tank top, or blouse. The featured examples show it with the free Trendy T-shirt and T-shirt Variations patterns for 14.5"-15" dolls each available separately.
Supplies Needed:
- 1/4-1/3 yard of fabric. The dress can be cut from all one fabric or pieced together with coordinating fabrics.
- 1/8 yard lining fabric (or it can be self-lined)
- 9" piece of trim for bodice
- 1/4"-3/8" slide style buckle to make the belt
- 7-9" piece of ribbon or trim for belt
- Thread
- Sewing machine
- Pressing tools
- Point turner
