The 4-Way Wardrobe is a darling 1950’s style 3/4 circle skirt, blouse, reversible midriff top, and shorts pattern that you can make in a jiffy! Inspired from a 1952 magazine ad, the 4 piece set can be made in mix or match fabrics for the start of your authentic 1950’s wardrobe.
The Poodle Skirt is one of the most memorable symbols of 1950’s Americana. Artwork is included in the pattern to create your appliqué. Pick your pet and choose from the Classic Poodle, Pouncing Puppy, Lil’ Scotty, or a Kitty Cat. Place your pet at the hem of the skirt and complete the look with a curly leash.
This PDF pattern is designed to fit 18 inch dolls such as American Girl®. Cloth bodied dolls measurements can vary a good bit. This skirt has a fitted waistband with an 11¼” finished waist. If you doll has a larger waist you will need to adjust the pattern to fit.
Recommended Fabrics: Cotton, wool, and felt were traditionally used in full skirts in the 1950’s. Today’s felt is probably a bit thick and too stiff for good doll proportions. Lightweight cottons, quilt cottons, woven blends, or flannel is a good option for this pattern.
