This is the second in the series of beautiful flowing gowns by Little Miss Muffett, inspired by the Greek goddesses; these two exquisitely draped gowns are named for the goddess Aphrodite. A combination of white satin and voile create the elegant ‘Aphrodite Robe’, while peach chiffon fashions the stunning evening gown. Both gowns are beautifully fitted. Each have a draped bodice and ‘fishtail’ skirt and are finished with designer-original beaded shoulder straps; the evening gown is lined. The fur stole which accompanies the evening gown is gently curved for easier fitting. Whichever gown your doll elects to wear, be it the flowing grace of the ‘Aphrodite’ or the elegance of the evening gown and stole, she is sure to look fabulous.
Supplies Needed:Aphrodite’s Robe Fabric:
-Voile 1 yard
-Satin 20 x 20 inches
Evening Gown & Stole Fabric:
-Chiffon or voile 1 yard
-Lining fabric of your choice – must be light weight 20 x 20 inches
-Fun Fur 6 x 30 inches
-Satin 6 x 30 inches
Notions for both Dresses:
-4 Pieces Medium-weight embroidery stabilizer 15 x 12 inches
-28 x 1/8” wide beads or enough beads to measure 4 to 5 inches (Shirring elastic must be able to fit through the bead hole)
-20 inch piece shirring elastic
-Tapestry needle
-3 ½” x 3/8” wide h
ook and loop tape-1 x clear sew on snap ¼” diameter - for Aphrodite’s Robe
-Matching thread, Air Erasable Pen, general sewing supplies.
