Ciao Bella, by Little Miss Muffett - An adorable and versatile dress made to look like a skirt and blouse is the perfect outfit for special daytime occasions. The pretty fitted Blouse has a high round neck and features an off-center lace-edged Ruffle. Three small buttons adjacent to the ruffle add visual interest. The short straight Sleeves are slightly gathered at the shoulder and also edged in narrow lace. For extra flair, the top layer of the gathered Skirt is stitched to the Waistband first and then the remaining layers are added. The Bodice and Skirt are lined separately. The Dress closes in the back with Hook & Loop Tape. This relatively easy PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 18” soft-bodied dolls such as American Girl®.

Fabric Used – Quilter’s Cotton was used for the Bodice of the dresses while layers of Voile and Lightweight Cotton were used for the Skirt and Lining.
Fabric Requirements:
Bodice, Sleeves & Front Ruffle: Quilters’ Cotton – 11” x 20”
Upper & Lower Skirts & Waistband: Voile, Chiffon, Georgette, etc. Are recommended – 15” x 35”
Skirt & Waistband Lining: Soft Cotton Lawn, Lightweight Cotton – 8” x 30”
Bodice Lining: Lightweight Cotton – 16” x 6”
Notions:
Hook & Loop Tape: 3/8” wide x 4 ¼”
Buttons for Bodice Front: ¼” wide x 3”
Skirt Waistband Fusible Interfacing: 12 ¾” x 1 ¼”
Matching Thread, Marking Pen, Point Turner, Press-sponge or Tailor’s Ham, Curved Embroidery Scissors, Clear Tape, general sewing supplies.
A Universal Needle – 80/12, a Walking Foot, a General Purpose Foot and a ¼” Foot are used during the sewing process.
