A darling summer outfit designed for 18-inch dolls, by Jelly Bean Soup Designs! A slightly different take on shorts. This design features gathers at the waist and the leg. Pleats on the front create a flat area over the tummy. Pockets on the shorts are large and trimmed in a contrasting color.
The top is simple but is shorter in the front than in the back. The tummy will show a tiny bit. This outfit is so cute and different and can be trimmed a million different ways. Beads or a fussy cut centered on the top.
Recommended Fabrics: Cotton, Batiste, Cotton Quilted Double Sided fabric, Dotted Swiss, Eyelet
Supplies Needed:
- Top - 1/4 yd, a fat quarter or scraps. Depending on how it is made.
- Shorts - 1/4 yard. Contrast 1/8 yard or fat 1/8 or scraps.
- 8 inches of hook and loop tape
- Matching thread.
- Optional - small beads or buttons for trim. Rotary cutter, mat, and ruler.
- All yardages vary depending on how you choose to combine the colors.
