The well-fitted bodice of the Joy Overalls provides a contrast to the fullness of the skirt with its two ruffle tiers. The bodice is lined with lightweight cotton fabric. The bodice and shoulder straps fasten with snaps. The front is embellished with a large bow.
This pretty pair can be worn with tees like the Ruffle Sleeve Top, blouses like the Joy Blouse or even jumpers.
This PDF pattern is designed to fit 18" such as American Girl®. It is also available for 19" Gotz dolls.
Recommended Fabrics: Lightweight fabric such as woven cotton, twill, lightweight denim, and corduroy.
Supplies Needed:
- 1/3 yard light-weight fabric;
- 1/8 yard light-weight fabric for lining;
- 2 3/4'' x 18 ½'' piece of tulle or embroidered batiste for underskirt;
-18 of ½" lace for option 2;
- 5 snap fasteners;
- thread to match;
- a piece of cardstock (or equivalent weight paper).
