Arctic Fleece Pullover 18" Doll Clothes Pattern

1 review   |

Your 18-inch doll will look fabulous in the Arctic fleece pullover featuring easy to sew raglan sleeves, a kangaroo pocket, elastic trimmed waistband and cuffs, and a half zipper front. The sewing pattern includes easy to follow instructions that will take the fear out of sewing zippers and using fold over elastic!

Wondering about dressing your doll in a pullover? For this design, we recommend feet first and arms towards the back, slipping the hands into the sleeves as it is pulled up over the waist.

Not my best ever

I was excited about this pattern as it is great to have a garment that opens in the front plus i have a lot of 10cm zips. I had a scrap of stretch velvety feel to use for the contrast. I made a mess of the zip though, as i did not read the instructions step by step. My mistake. It seems a bit baggy, but one of my teen customers tell me they like baggy clothes.

QTπ Arctic Fleece Pullover for AG

Loved testing and sewing this pattern. I must have - I made two! I don't like sewing polar fleece, so the first was made with a waffle knit, stretchy fabric, with performance knit cuffs. I was worried about applying a zipper with an unstable knit, but the pattern zipper instructions were so good, I had no problem. In fact, it was probably the best zipper method I have used. When I saw the coordinating fleece hat pattern from the same designer, I had a great idea for a seasonal outfit. And this time I used fleece for the pullover. For the accent knit, I cut strips from a microfiber dusting cloth from the Dollar Tree, and used the strips instead of fold-over-elastic. Ho-Ho-Ho! How cute is that!
