Vertical rows of a lovely open stitch pattern add a lacy interest on the front and back body of the sweater. A row of the open stitch pattern is repeated down the middle of each set-in sleeve. Rib stitch is used for the neck, hem, and wrist bands. The front closure is 4 buttons on a seed stitch band accented with 2 buckles, one at the neckline and one at the hem band. For a different look, there is a version that closes with 8 buttons and no buckles.
