Although not historically accurate, your 18-inch doll will look beautiful in this period-style dress and pinafore, together with pretty bloomers and fabulous bonnet, by Little Miss Muffett.
The high waisted Dress and Pinafore each have a fully lined bodice, full gathered skirts with pretty gathered ruffles. The Dress has medium length gathered sleeves and the neck edge is finished with a fabulous double ruffle. The Pinafore sports decorative Cluny Lace trimmed with ribbon and either beaded flowers or ribbon bows. Both the Dress and Pinafore have dangly ribbons at Center Front. The Dress closes at Center Back with Hook and Loop Tape, while the Pinafore closes with hooks and eyes at Center Front.
The Bonnet is fully lined, has ribbon ties and a ruffle on the inner brim to frame the face. The bonnet is decorated with silk flowers and satin ribbon; ribbon roses or as desired. The Bloomers have elastic at the waist and below the knee and lace and ribbon trim at leg side. This relatively easy pattern is designed to fit 18” soft-bodied dolls such as American Girl®.
