What’s sweeter than lemonade on a hot day? Why, sweet tea, of course! And this little 18" doll dress by FROG Princess Fashions, “Sweet Tea,” not only looks as cool and comfortable as a tall glass of iced tea on a hot day, but it is perfect for lunching on the veranda, chatting a garden party, or relaxing by the poolside, where it can double as a charming swimsuit cover-up in a gauze, terry, or lacy fabric.
This sweet little doll clothes pattern is so easy to whip up. There are no zippers, no snaps, and no hook and loop tape, so it’s perfect for everyone from beginners who want something easy to make to accomplished sewers who want something cute but quick to stitch.
Made in a wrap-around style that ties at the waist, this little beauty can be worn with the opening in the front or the back. The ties may be made of fabric or ribbons. The hem options are short and simple, or longer, with a deep ruffle to mirror the gathers at the neck and sleeves. With two sleeve styles and four hem lengths, there are multiple choices for finishing this dress. Plus, the blousy style fits most 18” dolls, from the “chubbier” ones to the modern, slimmer dolls.
Adding trims or embroidery offers many additional variations to this easy little dress. Check out all the lovely versions made by our talented Pixie Faire Tester team. Make one or several. Sweet Tea might become your new favorite!
