Create an interesting knit dress for your doll with the Polka Bobble Dress pattern!
The front and back of the dress are knitted separately. Knit flat from bottom upwards. Very easy dress done in stockinette with bobbles in every 11th row. For a fun look, a Contrast Color is used to knit the bobbles. Extra stitches are cast on at the bodice to create the sleeves. A big bobble is used as a button for a shoulder closure.
To complete the look, instructions for an easy headband done in garter stitch or stockinette stitch is included.
Stitches used: knit, purl, YO, knit 2 together, bobble3 and bobble5.

Recommended Yarn: Any Light DK (Double knit ) / Weight 3 yarn or even a Sports weight that will give you the appropriate gauge. Main pattern example used: James C. Brett® Top Value Double knit as Main Color, King Cole ® Double knit as Contrast Color. Pattern tester used Baby Luv® Weight 3.
Supplies Needed:
- Main Color = 37 grams (107.3 meters /117.3 yards)
- Contrast Color = 18 grams (52.7 meters /57.7 yards)
Other supplies:
- Straight or circular knitting needles sizes US 4 (3.50 mm).
- Row counter or a pencil to tick off the rows as you knit.
- Tapestry needle.
- Small scissors.
- Ruler or tape measure.
THE GAUGE:
The gauge for this pattern is 13.5 stitches over 18 stockinette rows using US 4 (3.50 mm) knitting needles = 2''x2'' (5cm x 5cm)
