The Frog Princess Fashions Easter Finery Dress is reminiscent of days gone by when girls wore white gloves and bonnets with their Easter dresses.
This vintage-style dress features a knee-length gathered skirt, semi-fitted high-waisted bodice, button back closure, optional Peter Pan collar, and optional lined Petal Sleeves. The dress is accompanied by a petal skirt pinafore with back hook and loop tape closure. The collar, sleeves, and pinafore all reflect the petal theme in keeping with the Easter season. The pattern shows three views as follows, but there are many ways you could make this dress by using the various options and finishes mentioned in the pattern.
- View A: Dress with collar, lined petal sleeves, optional bias trim, and front neckline bow.
- View B: Dress with collar, lined petal sleeves, and pinafore with optional bias trim.
- View C: Collarless dress with lace ruffle in place of sleeves.
Add gloves and a bonnet, and your doll is ready to join the Easter parade!

Recommended Fabrics: Dress: Cottons, poly-cottons, gingham, homespun, poplin, chambray, calico, lawn. Not suited for stripes or plaids. Pinafore: lawn, batiste, fine muslin, eyelet, dotted Swiss, organza, gauze, cotton, poly-cotton, gingham, calico, plaid. Not suited for knits.

Notions:
- Three ½” or smaller fancy buttons (may be covered buttons or may use hook and loop tape)
- 2” of thin hook and loop tape for pinafore (optional)
- 8” strip of fusible interfacing measuring ¼” or ⅜” wide cut into two 4” pieces
- ¼” gathered lace trim for collar (optional)
- ¾”- 1 ¼” gathered lace trim for View C in place of sleeves ( 1 ¼” eyelet was used in the blue sample)
- ⅛" cotton cording for contrast piping (optional)
- ¼” satin or grosgrain ribbon for View A
- High quality matching polyester or rayon thread, depending on fabric choice
- New, sharp size 11/12 needle
