This dress crocheted from the top down with short sleeves added after the body is crocheted. Because of the way it is crocheted you can make a top, or a short dress. Although the pattern does not include instructions for a long dress, you could easily adjust the length to make it as long as you would like it to be. The back closure uses four ½” buttons for easy dressing. Yarn from Knit Picks was used to crochet the dress and the top in the pictures.
For a more modest look, you will need to pair this dress with a pair of leggings.

Recommended Fabrics: I would suggest using an acrylic yarn, or a blend of acrylic/cotton. The dress in the pattern was crocheted with 100% acrylic yarn. The top was crocheted with a cotton/acrylic blend.
