The Bella blouse, by Genniewren Designs, features a real collar and front fastening, with a choice of short sleeve styles. The fit of the blouse is adjusted in the back with two optional tucks.
The short straight sleeves make the blouse perfect for school wear or casual wear. The puffed sleeves add a touch of cuteness and make an everyday blouse a little more special. Instructions are included for snaps or hook and loop fastener closures, or you can add real buttons and buttonholes if you prefer.
The bonus pattern is a full two-tier skirt which is perfect to wear with the blouse, or you could wear leggings underneath the skirt for an up-to-the-minute fashion look.

This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 18" dolls such as American Girl®. It is also available designed to fit 14.5" dolls such as WellieWishers™ and 16" Disney® Animators' dolls.
Recommended Fabrics: This pattern has been designed for stable, lightweight woven cotton or cotton blend fabrics such as lawn, poplin, gingham, chambray, broadcloth etc. The bonus skirt pattern is suitable for similar fabrics and also for quilting cottons.
Supplies Needed:
Blouse (both views):
- A quarter of a yard of fabric, a fat quarter(22” x 18”) is fine;
- 9” x 20” of lightweight fusible interfacing;
- 5” anti-snag or ultra thin hook and loop tape for closure (or 3 snaps if preferred);
- Three 6mm – 9mm (1/4" to 3/8") buttons for decoration.
Skirt:
- A quarter of a yard of fabric (from the bolt) or you can use a fat quarter (18" x 22") and join the main skirt piece.
- 10” of 0.5” wide elastic.
