The pattern came together fairly easily, although I found the end result had slightly bulky seams along the waistline. If I sewed the pattern again, I would not serge the edge of the bodice and the top edge of the skirt before joining the two together; instead I would serge them after sewing the waist seam, to minimize bulk. I used a fat quarter for the outer fabric and some scrap cotton for the lining. The bodice, without adjustments, and with the darts, is slightly loose on my Journey Girls doll, but not so much to be a problem. I haven't dug my AG doll out of storage yet to check it on her for comparison (the three-year-old gets to play with the Journey Girl if she wants; she has to wait until she's older for the AG doll).
