Sew a classic denim dress for your doll with this PDF pattern by Doll Tag
Clothing. The dress has straps over the shoulder with a hook-and-loop closure
in the back. You can use press studs as well.
There are two options included:
• Option A - The skirt is straight down with two working pockets in the front.
The dress has buttons in the front but closure is in the back.
• Option B - The skirt is gathered. The bodice can be finished with a faux button
front or with a pocket.
This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 18 inch dolls such as American Girl®.
Recommended Fabrics: Light to Medium weight denim or woven fabric. Avoid heavy weight denim that is too thick. Option B: Skirt – Light to medium weight woven fabric. Cotton.
Supplies Needed:
- Dress A Fabric — 12” x 22.5”
- Dress B Bodice Fabric — 4.5” x 22.5”
- Dress B Skirt Fabric — 6.5” x 32”
- Lining Fabric (Both Options) — 3.5” x 15”
- Hook-and-loop Tape — 2” (5/8” width – cut in half to get about 1/4” wide)
- 1/4" Wide Buttons — Option A: x7
