The Bethany Bucket Bag was originally designed to carry what the "girls" needed for a day at the beach. Then they started using it for play dates. Then they began using it for school. Now they take it wherever they go. They sling it over their shoulders for a cool look and easy carrying. It has space for a comb, book, camera, snacks and even a phone if they want.
And they love decorating it with pretty and interesting dangles from beads, buttons, ribbon and things around the house. Instructions for the dangles are included in this PDF pattern also. The bags go together quickly and are made from scraps so the girls can have lots of bags in lots of colors.
Recommended Fabrics: medium weight denim, cotton, cotton blend, linen and similar

- scrap for contrasting band
- 9.5" of 3/16" (4.8mm) cord
- 9" of 1/4" lace or trim
- 5" of 1/4" elastic
