Fancy Footwork Doll Clothes Pattern For 18" Dolls

1 review   |

Take a nostalgic trip back to the 1980s, where slouchy over-sized clothing and accessories were donned in layers upon layers. Footwear was no exception. Make these super simple, totally 80s slouchy socks for your doll from a pair of child-size cuffed anklets, a pair of cast-off socks with a funky 80s motif, or a scrap piece of lightweight knit fabric. This pattern, by Thimbles and Acorns, also includes instructions for making a footless pair of slouchy socks so that you can add layers without the bulk. Finish off your footwork with a two paneled 80s style “Hacky Sack”, the foot game that took school hallways by storm in 1983. This pattern includes pieces for you to make one for your doll and a full-size version for yourself!

Suggested Fabrics: Slouchy Socks and Slouchy Sock Layers made from lightweight child-size bobby socks (larger socks can be used, if desired). Alternatively, any lightweight knit can be used, but the top edge will of the sock will need to be finished.

Hacky Sack made from quilting cotton, denim, suede, leather, or vinyl (use very lightweight leather or vinyl for the doll-size Hacky Sack).
