A fun new look for Back To School, the Liberty Jane® shorts and capri pants designed to fit 14.5-inch WellieWishers™ dolls are sure to become a wardrobe staple! This design is easy to sew because of the clearly illustrated step by step instructions! The PDF doll clothes pattern includes 3 styles - Capris with a center back leg seam, knee-length Bermuda shorts, and short shorts. All styles have a front fly with a hook and loop tape closure, front slant pockets and smooth fitted waistband lined with grosgrain ribbon!
Suggested fabrics: Woven cotton such as premium quilting cotton, chambray, linen, and other lightweight non-stretch fabrics. Capris on cover are made in a denim chambray (shirt weight) and shorts are made in an organic cotton fabric. Floral shorts pictured are made in a premium quilting cotton.
This pattern is a modified version of the Capri & Shorts for 18 Inch Dolls, but has been simplified with an easier to sew front pocket design and streamlined assembly instructions!
Supplies Needed:
- 1/4 yard of woven cotton fabric (a fat quarter works great!)
- hook and loop tape
- Thread
- 3/8" width grosgrain ribbon or twill tape (Used to line waistband, choose a coordinating color or something fun to add some surprise!)
- 1/4" wide elastic (for optional elastic back waistband)
- Iron
Skill Level: Intermediate.
