Free Doll Clothes Pattern (February 9th, 2018 ) Help Us Decide

Hi everyone,

On Friday (February 9th, 2018) we are offering a free pattern by designer Gaby Shearer. Gaby is the creator of the Originals By Gaby and Baby Mine brands. The pattern will be free starting at Midnight Pacific Time and free one-day-only. And if the pattern you voted for doesn't win, just go ahead and buy it anyway as a way to thank Gaby!

More About Gaby Shearer (in her own words): I began sewing at the young age of 6 on my mom’s sewing machine.  When I turned 8, she rewarded me with my very first Barbie doll patterns, many of which I still have! I purchased my first sewing machine – an old Singer Treadle – as a newlywed. It was then that I started creating doll clothes and altering patterns to fit Madame Alexander dolls. I didn’t have kids of my own yet so gave them away to others who could use them. I was soon blessed with 2 daughters and had a ball creating party dresses, play clothes and Halloween costumes. I’m now happily retired and thoroughly enjoy my rekindled love of sewing and creating doll clothes.  Publishing my patterns is just an added bonus. The real blessing comes when I get to see all of the amazing outfits created with the use of my patterns!

Carly's Dress Designed To Fit 15 Inch Dolls Such As Bitty Baby®:  This pretty dress goes together so easy! Use a cotton for a casual look, or change up the fabric for a fancier occasion. This PDF pattern Includes instructions for using an invisible zipper or hook and loop tape in the back and can be made without the waist piping for an easier version.

The town was formed in 1758 and named after Thomas Lee, born and raised in Virginia. Due to its location, Leesburg played a role in many wars including the War of 1812, serving as a temporary haven for the US Government. Today, Leesburg’s Historic District is considered one of the most picturesque and best preserved in Virginia. Recommended Fabrics:  Lightweight woven fabrics, such as chambray, quilting cottons, light-weight linens, light-weight denim, light-weight twill, pinwale corduroy.

I would love some free patterns for Wellie Wishers or Bitty Baby but that will never happen on a predominately American Girl doll site unfortunately.

All of the patterns are lovely. I voted for the Leesburg miniskirt as I don’t have a 15 inch baby doll. I do love that christening gown though. Thank you so much for your generosity!!!

I love the Leesburg Mini Skirt. Nice to see both beginner and intermediate skill levels in one pattern. I have to agree with SUE’s comment, to have options for only 1 doll size. That way people with less popular sized dolls get an opportunity to get some free patterns too. I don’t have any different sized dolls but would not mind missing a pattern or two for others to enjoy.

The Christening dress is GEOURG!!! Good patterns for Bitty Baby are hard to come by. I’ve made the Carly dress several times and it is perfect !! Hope others allow Bitty Baby owners a chance to get a new pattern as well – there are always lots of 18 inch patterns offered. Please , please vote for Christening Dress!!

It is so nice to see Bitty Baby/Twin patterns to choose from. I know they won’t win when up against 18” patterns unfortunately. All the choices are lovely but I do wish that other sized doll patterns could be all the options occasionally so we could build their wardrobes too. Thank you for offering your patterns to choose from this week
