I’m not a crafter, so I enter for my family
My biggest sewing, knitting or crochet challenge (recently) is finding time! Normally this time of year, I am busy getting stock ready for upcoming shows, and this year, I am so busy getting my mom to and from appointments and helping her because she had her left knee replaced. Add in my two kids, and I’m amazed I get sleep lol
My biggest sewing, knitting or crochet challenge is that many modern patterns have changed. They use metric measurements, or assume you have a serger. The instructions for thread tension or stitch length might refer to a machine setting that does not make sense with my reliable, 30-year old Kenmoresewing machine. I don’t know how to convert those.
My biggest challenge in all areas is organizing!!! In 72 years I have just left things where I last used them. Want to put things where they belong and get rid of clutter, so I can sew without hunting through boxes, closets and other areas of home. This doll would be so nice for grandson’s birthday on the 7th.TY for all you do for so many. Where do we find list of winners?
My biggest challenge when sewing and crocheting is to finish the project!!! Sometimes a challenge for me is making sure I am making the right size and that the item is going to fit!!!! Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity!!!
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is working with the knit material and with the specialty fabrics. Still trying to figure out how to keep the sewing machine from eating the materials.
My biggest challange finding time to do all the projects i want to do.
My greatest challenge is finishing projects before starting new ones. Dreaming up, planning, choosing the perfect patterns and fabrics are way more fun than sewing those last blocks, borders and bindings. Every time.
My biggest problem is getting the time to do it all. I have a few projects started in all areas sewing, knitting, crocheting all more than one project started. My problem I see all of the patters on Pixie Faire that I love and want to do. My mind goes so fast and I want to do them all and can’t wait to try them. So I end up with many started projects. So new this year going to finish projects than look at new ones. Maybe just one for each category at a time. I see this failing because I want them all
My biggest sewing challenge is finding enough creative patterns for an 18 inch boy doll.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crocheting challenge is taking out stitches when I mess up knitting.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finishing it
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finding time! It doesn’t help that I am a slow seamstress – I would never make it in a timed challenge like on Project Runway!
Never enough time!!!
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crocheting challenge is taking the time to teach myself how to sew better and do the endless list of projects I want to do!
I love sewing and creating for the Grandkids. Hard sometimes to have all the time I would like to spend doing it.
My biggest challenge in sewing is finding enough time. I do all sorts of sewing and people keep me busy by bringing stuff to me to do.
My biggest sewing challenge is deciding which fabric to use for an outfit.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finding time! It doesn’t help that I am a slow seamstress – I would never make it in a times challenge like on Project Runway!
My biggest challenge is selecting a pattern. And sometimes, especially with crocheting, is understanding the pattern.
My biggest challenge is keeping my mind focused on project at hand instead of the others in my mind/imagination that I plan/want to do!
My biggest sewing challenge will be working my way through all the patterns that I have from Pixie Faire! Retirement will finally give me the time I need.
My biggest challenge in sewing is finding enough time. I do all sorts of sewing and people keep me busy by bringing stuff to me to do.
My biggest knitting or crochet challenge is wishing I had learned to do either one of these when I was younger. I totally envy those who make beautiful crochet items. Sigh. At least I can sew and biggest challenge there is keeping my sewing area organized. Guess that is a common problem for many.
May the force be with me!
My biggest challenge is learning to use my new serger.
My biggest sewing challenge is to start and finish or at least put a dent in all my ufo’s. Going back to work does not leave a lot of spare time and I always forget that great projects always seems to take longer than I thought they would.?
“My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is getting back to sewing after having a broken shoulder and complete shoulder replacement. I have just started sewing again.
My biggest sewing, knitting, crocheting challenge right now is making a cosplay version of The Princess and the Frog’s Tiana’s green dress for my daughters high school graduation.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is learning to sew chiffon, satin and other smooth materials. I have a stash of this material that would make beautiful doll clothes for my grand daughter’s American Girl doll. My goal is that I WILL meet this challenge and the doll will have a beautiful, dressy wardrobe by the end of the year.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is decision…which pattern to begin and what color to make it!!!!
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is definitely finding the time to do any of those items. I love to craft, but I am so busy with work and the kids it’s hard to make it a priority.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finishing touches and fit. I have a hard time making the insides of my doll clothes as neat as the outside. My doll clothes are often not the correct fit. I am self taught and do not know how to finish. I think I need to take a few classes to improve my technique
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is buttons and button holes. No clue why I just have issues with then.
I also have a big problem finding enough time to complete projects, but one of my goals for this year is to complete all projects before starting a new projects.
My biggest challenge is cleaning up from the previous project. I am always ready, set, go on my new project.
Stopping. Once I start sewing I’m like answer the phone , nope, make dinner? Nope, I m creating leave me alone.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finding the time to fix mistakes and backtrack.
My biggest knitting challenge is to translate the patterns into German, the way I was taught by my aunt when I was little. Also, having ‘shaky’ hands means I poke myself with the knitting needles a lot. Fortunately they aren’t pointy enough to break the skin.
I would so love this boy doll and the outfit is amazing!! I might have to buy the patterns anyway… I think boy clothes are too cute!
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is definitely finding enough time to work on the projects. It always seems like, “sew many projects so little time!”
My biggest sewing challenge is zippers! No matter how careful I am they are always crooked!
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is with so many patterns I want to make is fighting the ’battle of the bulge". :( Taking breaks to move, walk, get any exercise other than sitting constantly is always challenging when you want to do just one more stitch to see a finished doll project! Thanks for a chance to win such an AMAZING prize today!
My biggest sewing and crochet challenge is the steady loss of my eyesight. I love making the doll clothes but can only work for a few hours before everything gets so blurry, I cannot read it.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is just getting started. I have so many things I want to make I need to prioritize which to do first.
“My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finishing up a memory quilt for my BFF. :)
My biggest sewing challenge is getting the stitch straight. I can see but I need more practice. Right now its a little messy.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding enough space to sew, because as soon as I get ready, the kids and dog all join me and want to participate; the sewing room gets very crowded!
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finishing projects.
“My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is not having an area to sew in so by the time I collect the items I need, the time I have to sew is gone.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is starting, once I start I can’t quit, or choosing to sew, quilt or crochet. " Have made over 200 18" doll outfits for friends and to sell at a craft fair.

My biggest sewing challenge is trying free motion quilting!
My biggest sewing challenge is getting the tiny detail work right.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is just getting the time to start and finish a project. As a single mom, full-time student and working full time I have to set aside a block of time to sew. Its my ME time. I enjoy every minute. My projects involve some sort of AG outfit or Wellie outfits. My girls are so excited to get a new outfit they make themselves busy so that I can sew.
My biggest sewing challenge is fitting grandchildren who lie far away and fitting patterns to myself.
“My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finding the time to create my designs and putting them together”. My new year resolution is to make the time for the things I love to do.
My biggest challenge has been to have too many projects going at one time and not finishing any thing. I must say that having organized my sewing room with the group has really helped me stay focused and to know what I have. I would love to have Logan and to start making boy clothes,
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finding the time!
My biggest challenge is finding enough time to do all the projects I want to. So many neat patterns and so little time.
My biggest sewing challenge is making pillow shams with flanges, just from the measurements of the pillow form.
My biggest challenge is being able to use all the wonderful fabric that people have given me because they know I sew doll clothes. I have velvets, lace, chiffon, trims and just about everything I need—just can’t get it all sewn up. I love today’s freebie. Keeping my fingers crossed.
My biggest knitting challenge is inserting the sleeves in a garment with set in sleeves. I love garments knit from the top down for that reason. Second would be seaming. This year I resolve to learn how to do this so my garments finish well.
My biggest sewing challenge is doll shoes and finding time to sew
Thanks so much for the giveaways! This one would make my son’s day. My biggest knitting challenge is color work. And it’s psychological. I find it so intimidating! I’ll conquer it someday!
“My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is knitting I just can’t seam to get my two hands working together with the long needles.
My biggest sewing challenge this month is working on a hockey quilt and matching doll quilt.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is sewing the hems on little knit tee shirts, so that they stretch enough, yet the hem still lies flat! Sew frustrating! :)
My biggest challenge is trying to make a bunch of outfits for my Granddaughters American Girl Doll love to make her things
My biggest sewing challenge is buttonholes.
My biggest sewing challenge is making buttoholes that I am pleased with. That being, my sewing machine has a built in buttonholer. My mother’s machine had a separate attachment that required cams and they made such beautiful buttonholes. I recently found one like that, but it wouldn’t work on my machine. So I either need to find a machine that will work with this attachment or vice versa.
My biggest sewing challenge is having too many projects going on at once. I start a project, get bored then move on to something else. 5 quilt tops in the works right now.
My biggest sewing challenge is getting the backlog of projects done before starting into a new, more exciting project.
My biggest sewing challenge is keeping my cutting table clean so I can cut on it. My biggest knitting challenge is figuring out how to put the cardigan together after I knitted it. Those sleeves just don’t seem right!
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is being left-handed and not having anyone to show me howto crochet – I ended up learning to knit right handed so maybe that is what I will do for crocheting too.
My biggest sewing, knitting or crocheting challenge is making shoes and boots for the dolls. It is hard for me to get them symmetrical.
My biggest sewing, knitting or crochet challenge is TIME! I work two jobs and I don’t have time or money to fix our family sewing machine, which was my mother’s wedding gift. Even when I start something, I rarely have the time to end it, which is disparaging.
My biggest crochet challenge is keeping the gauge even with fine thread. This is much easier w thicker yarn (mostly because I can see it.)
My biggest sewing challenge is free motion quilting. I’m new at it and know it takes practice so hopefully with more of that, I will be less tense lol.
My biggest knitting challenge is finishing a project, whether it be a 2nd pair of socks, or the band of a sweater… I just get excited about casting on something new.
Thanks for a fantastic Holiday Giveaway.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is having patience so that I do a good job :)
My biggest sewing challenge these days is getting set up and getting a project cut for sewing—whether it is doll clothing or a quilt’. My biggest knitting challenge seems to be that the yarn I fall in love with is of a color that just does not exist in my closet.
My highest sewing problem is getting the tension right. I end up with a messed up bobbin!! So frustrating!
My biggest sewing, knitting or crocheting challenge is buttonholes. When my outfit looks great and it’s time to do the buttonholes, I start sweating, or leave the project at that point for weeks before I have the courage to do them.
My biggest sewing challenge is working with knits.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is setting sleeves, I always seem to have too much fabric
My biggest sewing issues are I always want to make so much for everybody else. I never take the time for making me something. Giving back is what I love to do. So Its not so much an issue after all. I believe it’s a win win situation!
My biggest sewing challenge is my tension and threading my SERGER! It puts me on hold way too often.
My biggest sewing, knitting or crocheting challenge is crocheting even though it is the second skill I learned after sewing.
My biggest challenge is finding a place to sew, choosing a pattern and getting started.
My biggest sewing challenge is time! The day doesn’t have enough time to get things done: clean the home, cook, take care of the girls and sew! So many creative ideas on my mind and so little time…
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is keeping my sewing room (it has taken over the guest room) organized. It seems every time I finish a project I have to spend time finding better places for things. Amazingly, this works out well and I think I am almost there.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is having more project ideas and plans than there are hours in the day! Managing kids, school, activities, life and my huge list of crafty projects! My list grows longer than I can whip out finished items!
My biggest challenge is the same as many others I read – starting a project. With a full time job (although I am retiring in 2 months!!!), I don’t get to work on my crafts as much as I’d like. Then once I do get started, I enjoy it so much I hate to stop until it’s complete!
My biggest challenge has been finding time.
My biggest sewing challenge is time! The day doesn’t have enough time to get things done: crab the home, cook, take care of the girls and sew! So many creative ideas on my mind and so little time…
Making dresses for my 18"doll
My biggest sewing challenge is doing quilts or table runners that are applique and have so many pieces. I always get the traditional type quilt that I cut out my own pieces because they are less expensive then the quilts that have all the pieces cut out and pre-fused. I’ve ordered a pressing sheet that is supposed to help with putting the pieces together in groups and then put them all together. I hope it works because the table runner I’m working on has probably 100’s of pieces.
My biggest challenge right now is learning to crochet. I keep getting frustrated and quitting, but know that I need to stick with it if I am ever going to learn.
