“I’d love to take a Pixie Faire class that shows me the “Little tricks of the trade” for making doll clothes – such as how to solve the problem of gapping shoulder straps. My solution is to cut straps longer, hand baste front straps 3/8” from marked location, test and retest then sew into bodice. For the back, I leave a slightly larger opening on each side where the strap should fit. (Back stitch if necessary.) After bodice or dress is complete, I slide the straps into the slits, adjust as needed and the top stitch the back-bodice sides. Saves a lot of ripping and resewing. This is just one of the many problems sewing for dolls. Thanks.
