A Bit About Shoes Soles
Pixie Faire has spent years developing the optimal pre-cut foam and chip board shoe soles to use for making your own doll shoes. The four different shapes we offer have been specifically designed to fit 18-inch dolls (Shapes 1 and 4), 13-14-inch dolls such as Hearts For Hearts Girls® (Shape 2), and 14.5-inch dolls such as WellieWishers™ (Shape 3). A variety of shoe patterns have been designed for use with each of these precut soles, which will be mentioned down below.

I’ve made several pairs of the Janes for 18in dolls. Great instructions and a design that is easy to work with, but can be customized.
I like the crochet shoes. I wish I knew how to crochet.

My favorite shoe pattern is Circling Around. I love the look of the crocheted circles and I’m working on my skills so I can make them someday.
I have done several different patters for crocheting 18" dolls shoes and they are WOW. The key of course if checking the stretch of the yarn with the type of shoe pattern you are using. And I have made the soles myself and it is not difficult, just time consuming. LOVE the shoes!

I have made several pairs of different styles of your shoes and have had success with all of them. My favorite was the slouch ankle boots. They turned out so adorable. I took the shoes I made to “Sew and Tell” at a meeting at the local sewing center and they were a huge hit. I can’t wait to sew some of the furry boots or fur trimmed boots. But for this season I want the Floral sandals. Toooooo cute.

My favorite is the open toe Janes, so easy to make and a nice look for most outfits I have made, but I have gotten better at sewing and creating and love them all. A BIG Thank you to all of you for these patterns.
