Sunday Best is a vintage-inspired dress designed to fit Kidz N Cats® Dolls. The dress features a 1950’s style bodice trim that looks charming on dolls from any era. View A and View C have a scalloped edge trim and View B is made from gathered lace. Views A and B have bias tape trim, and directions are given for making your own bias trim or using packaged bias tape. View B is made from an eyelet fabric that has a finished lace edge. The dresses are embellished with a bow or purchased appliqué. The full skirt is gathered at the waist, and can be trimmed with a contrasting bias or the scallop trim. Dressmaker “secrets” are included for easy methods to make the scallop trim and buttonholes. The dress fastens down the back with either buttons or hook and loop tape. Depending on your fabric choices the dress can be dainty and feminine or bold and fun - either look is perfect for your doll when she wants to dress in her “Sunday Best.”
Special Note - This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit a Kidz N Cats® Doll specifically and will not fit the standard 18 inch doll such as American Girl Doll. A KNC doll is 18 inches tall but has a much slimmer hard plastic body. You can see more info on our Doll Measurements page.
