Your doll will love wearing these Sling Back style shoes! This versatile pattern is a quick and fun option for enhancing any outfit. It includes no sew vinyl and fabric options. There are also two style of sole options included in this pattern.
This PDF sewing pattern by QTπ Pattern Co is designed to fit 18" dolls such as American Girl®.
Sole style one is compatible with any of the Pixie Pack SHAPE 1 pre-cut soles (White, Black, Color 1 , Color 2, Black/White Combo, or Black Chipboard). You may also choose to cut your own soles as well.
Recommended Fabrics: Choose woven fabrics that are light to medium weight. Pre-washing fabric is recommended to avoid dye transfer. Vinyl should be light weight, also when choosing vinyl it is recommended to use vinyl with a mesh or thin fleece.
Supplies Needed:
Woven Upper Option:
-Woven outer fabric 5” x 7”
-Woven lining fabric 5” x 7”
-Woven Fabric - 5” x 5”(inner sole)
-Medium/heavy weight fusible interfacing
Lace Upper Option:
-Lace (NO stretch) 5” x 7”
-Woven lining fabric 10” x 14”
-Woven Fabric - 5” x 5”(inner sole)
-Light/medium weight fusible interfacing
Vinyl Upper:
-Vinyl 5” x 7”
-4 x ⅛”- ¼” brads
-Tiny scrap of white felt
-leather punch (optional)
Soles With Trim Option:
-10” x 10” thin box board (e.g. cereal or cracker box) or pre-cut soles**
-2mm craft foam sheet (9” x 6”) or
-Two pair of pre-cut foam soles**
-18” x ¼” trim (optional)
Acrylic Sole Option:
-5” x 5” thin box board (e.g. cereal or cracker box) or pair of pre-cut soles**
-Acrylic Soles
General Supplies (all options):
-Thread and machine needle appropriate for fabric
-3” x ¼” elastic or ⅝" FOE or flat hair elastic.
-Glue gun and glue
-Cutting matt, ruler, and rotary cutter (optional)
