The Sixth Grade Skirt is an a-line silhouette skirt with lots of design options. With hook and loop tape closure in back, it's easy on and off for little hands. This PDF pattern is also a perfect starter pattern for girls that want to learn to sew for their dolls, or for more experienced seamstresses to make a basic doll wardrobe.
This classic but simple skirt is very easily made from a quarter yard of fabric (quilter's fat quarters work great!) in a woven cotton or light denim. Choose from three easy variations- make the skirt center panel from matching or contrasting fabric, try my easy pleated version, or layer lace for a trendy look. The design options are unlimited!
This pattern was designed and tested on American Girl sized dolls. Other brands of dolls may have slightly different measurements.
