What's more fun than dressing up for Halloween? This pattern was inspired by the Martian costumes of the 60s. It has puff boots for space walking and alien antenna for communicating with the mother ship. The puffed-sleeves and flared skirt add a feminine touch. The bodice is fully lined and closes in the back with snaps, buttons, or hook and loop tape. The front bodice is perfect for adding a button, embroidery or an iron-on.
Make it up with bright colors and you have a Rainbow Girl costume. Use red and white and you have a Mrs. Claus outfit. Directions are included for making the sleeves and boots from strips of different colored fabrics.
This fun PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 18" dolls such as American Girl®, and includes instructions for the dress, boots and bonus anennas.
Recommended Fabrics: Cottons, Satins, costume fabric and other light- to mid-weight woven fabrics. Netting can be used for the sleeve top. Boot soles are compatible with Pixie Packs.
