Freebie Friday, (March 27th, 2015), Help Us Decide

Hi everyone,

On Friday (March 27th, 2015) we'll have one of the following patterns available for free from Cinnamon Miles.

More About Cinnamon Miles, Liberty Jane Clothing: Cinnamon is the co-founder of Liberty Jane Clothing and Pixie Faire. She's also the author of several bestselling books on fashion and sewing. She strives to design on-trend clothing made to fit 18 inch dolls such as American Girl® and other doll types too.

Help us decide which one of Cinnamon's trendy patterns should be free by voting below. Then come back on Friday to see which pattern won and get the free download.

Here is more information about each pattern:

The Blossom Dress For 18 Inch Dolls Such As American Girl: This beautiful dress will have your doll ready to hit the Red Carpet or be part of the fashion scene with Tokyo Libby and her friends. The dress pattern includes two variations - The ruched bodice (featured in Blossom and Red Carpet Runway) and the simplified bodice shown left. Both variations feature a bubble skirt and lace underlay which create just the right statement to captivate her audience and make her feel special. This dress design has an invisible zipper in the back with hook and eye closures along the underlay but also includes instructions to finish the back opening with velcro.

The San Remo Dress For 18 Inch Dolls Such As American Girl: This cute dress designed to fit an American Girl Doll was part of the Liberty Jane Spring 2010 International Collection and is now available to download as a pdf pattern. The San Remo strapless dress is designed to fit over a tank or tee but also looks cute on it’s own! This fully lined design is easy to sew and works with a variety of woven fabrics! The example featured is a cotton chambray print  the dress would also look cute in a bright spring floral.

The Sheath Dress For 18 Inch Dolls Such As American Girl: Featured in the Liberty Jane Fall 2012 Tokyo Libby Outfit: Snow Club - This great Sheath Dress is a must-have in every dolls fashionable wardrobe. The fitted waist, fully lined dress is super versatile; choose a traditional fabric for the classic look or be a bit bolder in your fabric choice and pair it with spats to give it that trendy, Tokyo Libby  Steampunk Harajuku look! Spats (shortened word from spatterdashes) are a cassic footwear accessory designed to be worn over a pair of flats or basic shoe. They were originally worn in the late 19 to early 20th century and have since become a very popular item in the modern day Steampunk look.

The Maxi Dress For 18 Inch Dolls Such As American Girl: The Liberty Jane Maxi Dress 18 inch Doll Clothes PDF pattern will delight your 18 inch American Girl Doll! This popular dress from the Liberty Jane Spring 2010 International Collection is now available to download as a pdf pattern. There are multiple variations included: Overlappng bodice, one piece bodice, braided straps, one piece straps, tiered skirt, one piece skirt, and one piece skirt with bottom ruffle.

I voted for the SHEATH dress.. it is on my WISH LIST and I was thinking of buying it to coordinate with Man shirt over, all sorts of jackets on top, making it long by adding a bias strip to mid calf length. Also, the sheath dress goes right up to the neck so the goopy AG plastic neck meets wrinkled chest top doesn’t show.
I vote for the SHEATH dress. Thank you, Liberty Jane for offering Freebie Fridays.

They are all so lovely and hard to choose, but I decided on the Blossom dress as I can think of many possibilities for this dress! It could have lace or could be strapless, or could add straps(no lace) and even have a full length skirt or a flared circular skirt or make a little sundress with a short skirt! My head is full of ideas and no matter what we get on Friday, we are all winners!! Thank you so much for sharing your lovely patterns on Free Fridays! It’s the highlight of my week!

Love the Blossom Dress – so many style options punk, pirate, party, bridesmaid, dance, etc. I think the bodice is really special - I see it on a Bridal dress, a Downton flapper dress, a 50s frock, a skating dress, a recital dress, a swiss alpine look— the list just goes on and on.
Many thanks for Freebie Friday – it really gets the creative ideas going

What a challenge to pick from 4 fantastic designs! I love them all! But since forced to choose I pick the Blossom dress. I love the “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” look in black and the option of non gathered bodice for a “Wizrd of Oz Dorthy” look. My mind is swimming! Holy patterns, Batgirl! This is so hard to choose. They are all so cute. Finally decided on the Sheath dress at least in part because of the spats. I’ve been trying to figure out how to make a marching band uniform for years and if I mix and match several of these patterns, I might manage it. Plus the high spats work well as part of an Edwardian bicycling outfit.

Thank you for this generous offer. I think they are all great patterns – but I voted for the Blossom Dress. It is a lovely pattern of itself — but with a few adaptations to the skirt it could be a STUNNING 1950s formal dress.

That was a tough one to vote on— they are all adorable- I picked San Ramo, because I am going to use the stretch Denim and knits I just bought ( they will be great for this style). And add some embellishments( design touches too). Thanks for the free patterns it’s a big blessing every week.
